7 anthology publishers accepting unsolicited manuscripts in December 2025

You’ve finished your manuscript and now it’s time to pitch it to an anthology publisher! All of the publishers listed here are currently on the look out for manuscript submissions from authors without a literary agent in December 2025.

I’ve done my best to weed out any dodgy and vanity publishers from this list.

  1. Bigio Morato

    Bigio Morato is an imprint of Ara Pacis, a print-on-demand traditional publisher.

    Genre: Literary essays, anthologies and art/film criticism.

    Word count: Not stated.

  2. Blueberry Lane Books

    Blueberry Lane Books publishes novels and anthologies.

    Genre: Novels that tend toward science fiction and fantasy, women’s fiction, and off-beat mysteries. They also accept new adult. For nonfiction, they accept business and reference books.

    Word count: Not stated.

  3. From Beyond Press

    From Beyond Press is an independent publishing imprint founded by Michael W. Phillips Jr. They specialize in new horror, science fiction and poetry.

    Genre: Short stories in new horror, science fiction and poetry for their anthologies.

    Word count: 1,000 to 5,000 words.

  4. Guernica Editions

    Guernica Editions houses a variety of imprints focused on books written by Canadian and non-Canadian authors.

    Genre: Prose, poetry, essays and anthologies.

    Word count: Not stated.

  5. New Letters

    New Letters founded in Kansas City to publish the best literary writing, wherever it might be found.

    Genre: Novellas, short stories and poetry. It seems they charge for submissions if you are not a subscriber with them.

    Word count: No more than 30,000 words.

  6. Strange Attractor

    Strange Attractor is an independent publishing house based in London.

    Genre: Nonfiction, especially previously neglected or rejected areas of research and investigation. They publish a handful of novels and short fiction anthologies.

    Word count: Not stated.

  7. The Evil Cookie Publishing

    The Evil Cooking Publishing is run by horror author and artist, K. Trap Jones, and specializes in creating horror novels, novellas, collections and anthologies with unique hand drawn covers.

    Genre: Horror.

    Word count: 40,000 words and above.
