Veliz Books is an independent literary press dedicated to discovering, publishing, and promoting work from emerging and established authors. Please note they charge a $25 reading fee, which includes a book from their catalog. This fee can be waived for writers of minority and underrepresented groups.
Genre: Poetry, literary fiction and creative nonfiction.
Word count: 100 to 250 pages for fiction and nonfiction. 50 to 80 pages for poetry.
