Does Penguin Random House accept manuscript submissions?
Does the publisher Penguin Random House accept manuscript submissions?
No, Penguin Random House does not accept manuscript submissions directly from authors. To submit your manuscript to this publisher, you should go through a literary agent instead.
However, some regional imprints, such as Penguin Australia, Penguin New Zealand and Random House Canada, do accept manuscript submissions. Similarly, McClelland & Stewart, an imprint of Penguin Random House Canada, opens their submission policy to writers of underrepresented communities in March each year.
While Penguin UK don't accept direct manuscript submissions, Penguin Random House UK does offer opportunities to develop authors through WriteNow, a one-year programme for writers from underrepresented communities, the #Merky New Writers' Prize, and the Penguin Michael Joseph Undiscovered Writers' Prize. Quadrille, a food and lifestyle publisher part of Penguin UK, does seem to accept submissions. To find more about their manuscript submission process, take a look at their website and scroll down to "editorial submissions".
